Terms and Conditions

Introduction

Welcome to Leap Spark, an initiative of Leap India Stack Foundation ("Leap India", "Leap Spark", "we", "our", or "us").

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your registration for and participation in the Leap Spark introductory workshop offered through the Leap India website located at www.leapindia.org (the "Platform"). These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

By registering for or participating in the workshop, you agree to be bound by these Terms, as may be updated from time to time. If you do not agree, please do not register for or access the Services.

1. Purpose of the Workshop

The Leap Spark workshop is an introductory educational session designed to help teenagers and parents understand the Leap Spark learning experience.

Participation in the workshop does not constitute enrollment in any paid Leap Spark program. Separate terms may apply upon enrollment.

2. Eligibility

Leap Spark workshops are designed for teenagers aged 13–19 and their parents or legal guardians.

If the participant is under 18 years of age ("Child"):

  • Registration must be completed by a parent or legal guardian, or
  • Explicit parental/guardian consent must be provided.

Parents/guardians and users above 18 are referred to as "You". "Users" refers to both You and the Child.

3. Parent or Guardian Consent

By registering a Child, you:

  • Consent to their participation in the workshop
  • Permit Leap India to collect necessary information
  • Agree to supervise participation where appropriate

4. Data Collection and Communication

To access the Services, Users may be required to provide personal information including:

  • Parent/guardian name
  • Student name
  • Email addresses
  • Phone number
  • Location
  • Age or grade level
  • Other relevant details

This information may be used to:

  • Administer the workshop
  • Send reminders and access details
  • Share program-related updates
  • Improve user experience

By registering, you consent to receiving communication via email, phone, SMS, or messaging platforms (e.g., WhatsApp). You may opt out of non-essential communications.

5. Recording of Sessions

Workshops may be recorded for internal purposes such as training, quality improvement, and documentation.

By participating, you consent to such recording. Leap India will not publicly use identifiable recordings of minors without additional parental consent.

6. Participant Conduct

Participants must behave respectfully toward instructors and other participants.

Leap India reserves the right to remove any participant engaging in disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behavior.

7. License to Use

Leap India grants Users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Leap India may suspend or terminate access at its discretion.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including but not limited to presentations, frameworks, exercises, text, graphics, and logos, is the intellectual property of Leap India or its licensors.

Users may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially use such content without prior written consent.

9. Linking

Users may link to the Platform only if:

  • The link is lawful and not misleading
  • It does not damage Leap India's reputation
  • It is not used for commercial promotion without consent

Leap India may revoke linking rights at any time.

Leap India is not responsible for third-party websites linked to or from the Platform.

10. User Content

Users may submit content on the Platform. By doing so, you confirm that:

  • The content is lawful and does not violate third-party rights
  • It is not harmful, abusive, defamatory, or misleading

Leap India may remove content at its discretion.

11. Rules of Conduct

Users agree not to:

  • Misuse or attempt to hack the Platform
  • Use the Platform for unlawful or commercial purposes
  • Upload harmful or misleading content

Users are responsible for maintaining account confidentiality.

12. Limited Liability

Leap India will make reasonable efforts to ensure smooth delivery of Services but shall not be liable for:

  • Technical issues or interruptions
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Third-party actions or content

Services are provided on an "as is" basis without warranties.

13. Amendments to Terms

Leap India may modify these Terms due to legal, operational, or business changes. Users will be notified of material updates.

14. Termination

Leap India may suspend or terminate access if Users violate these Terms.

Users may stop using the Platform at any time.

15. Indemnity

Users agree to indemnify Leap India against any claims arising from misuse of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

16. Severability

If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.

17. Assignment

Users may not assign their rights. Leap India may assign its rights without restriction.

18. Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of rights.

19. Payment and Refund Policy

The Leap Spark introductory workshop is offered free of charge. No payment is required for registration or participation.

If a User chooses to enroll in a paid Leap Spark program, applicable fees and terms will be communicated separately at the time of enrollment.

Payments

All payments must be made through authorized payment channels. Leap India is not responsible for issues arising from third-party payment providers.

Refund Policy

Users may request a full refund within 3 days of payment, provided that:

  • The User has not completed more than 2 levels of the program, and
  • The request is submitted in writing to the official support contact.

No refunds will be provided:

  • After 3 days from payment, or
  • If more than 2 levels have been completed, or
  • For partial participation, missed sessions, or scheduling conflicts.

Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.

Leap India reserves the right to reject refund requests that do not meet the above criteria.

20. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of courts located in Goa.
