Post a two-decade corporate career and startup exit, I wanted to donate time and money to an existing NGO and multiply their efforts versus create a new organization. In visiting on-ground operations of various NGO's though, I was surprised by the lack of operational rigor and technology adoption in the development sector. All interventions seemed severely restricted by manual, unscaleable operations.
Non-profits need the same discipline of operational rigor and technology-based scaling as startups & corporations.
